Dear Diary,
I haven't written to you in forever. However, I've been busy doing academic tasks. Also, the midterms exams are next week.
It's October now. You know what that means? It means Inktober has started again. Right now, I'm getting prompts from the art org that I'm a part of. First day was "mustache"--I drew a capybara with a mustache. Second day was "weave" so I drew my artsona with a flowing cape. Third day, which is today, is "crown" so I made a generic skeleton (supposed to be a dead king) wearing a crown. I'd say I've gotten better and more confident in my artistic abilities after that third one.
I'm a little sad, though. I've been holding off on reading leisure books. I want to read more, but I have so many academic books to read through. I just want to read something fun, like a book about butterflies or snakes. Maybe I'll read something fun after midterms.
In other news, I think I'm improving in life. Don't get me wrong, I'm still just fumbling through adulthood, but I'm getting through the days more consistently. Sure, I just ate 18 toblerones in one week. I'm having a hard time resisting sweets. But I'm boiling up a plan of action to get healthier. I think I'll start with cutting down on sweets and drinking more water. Baby steps, right? I'll still eat cooked food without rice nor added spices (other than rosemary. i love rosemary on my chicken) so I don't feel too deprived. However, I was able to successfully fast for 48-72 hours last week (I've had some trouble the less recent times). I'm really happy about that. I plan on fasting again before my mom comes back here in Manila. Wish me luck.
